kase says: Travel is great to experience the different cultures, foods and meet new people but there is certainly no where like home.
I always find it amusing when travelling to another country...
I know what you mean about how people always seem to want to flock to McDonald's or places that are like at home. Having said that, a friend of mine went to the Phillipines & loved the fact that instead of chips, they got rice at Macca's! So, it's not always quite the same in other countries. In Israel it's called "Kosher McDonald's". I didn't go, but I wanted to to see the differences. Instead I ended up trying Israeli food, had sushi & African food!
Sometimes you just want to taste something that reminds you of home though. When I was in South Korea, I badly was craving meat, like a nice juicy steak, so I went to an Australian designed resturant, owned by Americans with staff that were South Koreans! Reply
