we have a new car parts sales company opening soon
but at what cost to us all
the whole area has to be aspestos removed signs up
and the worst part is it is right near the local tafe and what precautions have been taken to protect our up and coming youth of australia
and as for o h and s being used
it is ridiculous to believe the amount of money being waisted to bulid a new building
and if it is windy dont be near the site
how do we prevent the contamination from reocurring

Sorry to disillusion you, stretch, but buried asbestos does not "leach upwards" as you claim. Asbestos is a silicon crystal based fibre and is not water soluble, so it cannot leach into of the soil. The only risk to humans from buried asbestos is disturbance of the packaging and exposure to the atmosphere with consequent fibres spread into the air.
The damage it causes in human lungs (asbestosis) is mechanical, from flying fibres, i.e. scratching or scouring of the lung lining, which becomes the basis for further damage to the lining, such as mesothelioma. Returning asbestos to the ground in an area where it will not be disturbed to produce airborne fibres is the safest method of disposal.

this is great that the same company gets the thumbs up
but
what do they do with the product they have removed from your homes in australia they generally burry it and then the contamination slowly releases itself into the soil and then leaches upwards
and then starts to make humans sick cruel but true fact
why not ring and ask what they did with your old roof

ery, very important to get the experts in. Not something one can do, themselves.

i agree and you should make sure they are registered for the job of removal
and it may not hurt to request what they do with the contaminated product

Depending on which State you live, Google the appropriate government site to learn requirements and safe removal of asbestos.

I was living in a house where the ceiling was aspectos. We wanted to remove so we call a company call Kowhai Ceilings. We didn't have to move any of the furniture as the covered every inch of the house with plastic. They let me check before the starteing their work. I was very pleased with what they did and they also put up another ceiling at the same cost.

did they replace it with aspestos products
if they did and it catches on fore make sure you have breathing devises if you reenter
also it can be dangerous to humans after long time exposure
