I never buy home brands if I can avoid them, as most are made overseas and are inferior to locally produced ones. Unfortunately both Coles and Woolworths keep removing my favourite brands and I am having to visit several different supermarkets and contacting the makers of products to find where they are stocked, which I am determined to do, as I will not have supermarket managers dictating to me what I eat. Even the organic brands of beans which I eat a lot, being vegetarian, have changed in both supermarkets and their new own brand organic beans taste disgusting.
I have been asking the local health food store to order in items I really like when they are no longer available in the supermarkets and prefer to support small local businesses anyway. The supermarkets will lose my custom altogether if they continue to push businesses out and only sell their own brands.
