How do you feel about Christmas? Love it? Hate it?

Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Dear Steve
I can relate to some of your story. Not about being an orphan but being suicidal. My mum died on Christmas Day and it is very hard even though she has been dead for 42 years. You never forget that day and I still get depressed around Christmas. I have tried suicide many times, thankfully I was saved each time. It is great to have a Christian faith. My church family were very helpful and now I am a lot better. I take my medication without fail because if I don't, I will slide towards that black hole. I have learnt how to celebrate Christmas with my family and grandchildren and think about my mum when I am not around them. I love and miss my mum but Christmas is about the birth of Christ and my family.
