Hi Minnie, I thought you might like this idea. The last couple of years we have tried to make the whole experiance less expensive & more interesting as well as less work over all. So we came up with keep the original meat. My daughter & her husband cook the pork on christmas day. So know one misses out on the hot crackle. My mother brings over the turkey cooked with her special stuffing inside & my older brother buys a big leg of ham. Then between my daughter, husband & me we share the making of the salads which can be made a couple of days in the lead up to Christmas day. That way we get a great variety but we share the work. Then top it off with plenty of Christmas pudding, custard & cream. mmmmm yummo!
