yes $3.65 p/kg is very expensive as they were as low as $1.99 p/kg at the start of the year. but like most fresh produce, seasons play a big part in price rise or reduction.
i just cant wait for the last few months of the year, as i eat many banana's each day, i will be spending alot less on them.

My housemates eat a lot of bananas each day so I try to help them out when I see bananas on specials at around $2-$3/kg. It's part of their pre- / post-workout diet.

Last week, I bought $1.49 / kg at Coles. This is still expensive. The cheapest I bought was few months ago, where it was reduced to 25c/kg at Grocery shop, which they have in abundance and trying to sell this out before the long weekend holidays

I really hope it goes down. I love bananas but have bought them only once this year because of the ridiculously high prices
