I have just been watching the news, and I am horrified to find that the tasmanian goverment is considering the logging of some parts of its natural heritage. I know that there is a build up on the actually ground, but surely there is no need to log trees growing... Look at all the diversity there is in such places, and where will it go, and why is it necessary... is it just for more money to come back for tasmanian goverment... what are your views on this rich and historical area.

Logging of natural timber forests endangers whole eco systems. By damaging and endangering rare dedicated Tasmanian Flora habitats, as well as destroying the habitat of many native animal species is not good economic development. Careful Bio management and developing alternative forms of Industry would only benefit the Tasmanian Economy in the long run. By fostering other forms of industrial development like developing interlectual intelligence and Eco Farming would better profit the Tasmanian government coffers. Stop logging and destroying natural habitats for profit and encourage the enhancement of Eco survival of the Tasmanian Wilderness.

glad to see that someone can see the same end of the tunnel as I can... it should be banned, and other ideas as written above used, why will they never learn... when forrest are logged and all growth is gone, why nothting holds the land together and we get terrible tragedies as water rushes in and away go peoples housing etc., like on some of the other islands.... and we are only an island, like tasmania is as well.
