Is the next generation going to be strong enough? Are we breading the natural strength out of our immune systems?

reatoro73 says: If you look back to the bible times, people lived for hundreds of years and women were conceiving and givig birth at very old ages.
Now, we are lucky to live till we're 100 years of age. We aren't getting weaker, we are making bad decisions, abusing our bodies with drugs, bad food and things that are not good for us.

DD says: People lived longer in bible times because the calenders were different, and years were calculated differently. I think. I don't think it's just the bad stuff that's makeing us more unhealthy though, we are losing our natural immunity from vaccinations and things like that as well.

shaper says: I think the stories your thinking of are from the bible, actual history will tell you that people died very young,40 was OLD and we are living much longer. now because of our diets, clean water to drink and health care. Even in recent history (the last100 years) people did not live as long as we are doing now. We will just have to learn to be strong, do more with ourselves . Lean to use our minds as well as our bodies.

DD says: Yes I agree! Hygeine is good, but going overboard does not let us develop our immune systems, as our bodies do not have the viruses to develop against.
