The ultimate holiday destination is Disneyland. I live across the road from someone who loves Christmas lights. He has his lights on display 12 months of the year for about 8 hours a night. He does not have music (thankfully) to accompany the lightshow. Looking at his lights makes me pine for the lights and wonders of Disneyland in California. One day, in the many years to come, I hope to go and walk around DIsneyland holding Mickey Mouses' hand.

Any of the Hawaiian islands! They are so beautiful - best in the Pacific - and there's so much to see and do. Night clubs, bars & resorts on Oahu (and much more to do, like Pearl Harbour and Bubba Gump restaurant!), beautiful beaches and clear blue sea on Maui, peace and quiet on Lanai and Kauai. There's a mix of idyllic tropical beaches, old and new buildings and modern hotels. Hawaiian music is everywhere and the fragrances of coconut and frangipani. The people are friendly, weather perfect all year round and there's definitely an aloha spirit about the place. I've been there many times and never tire of it. Absolutely beautiful.

Using Finnair for the Hong Kong - Europe - Singapore sections, paying $150 extra each for the long flights gives the equivalent of a premium economy seat. We once went on a cruise in the Inside Passage in Alaska. It was on a small boat not one of the big lners.WWe were one of the first boat allowed in as we were so small we were not disturbing the ic floes. We caught several groups of students up on the sides studying the Puffins we thought. It was strange for us to see them thee the last time we had seen Puffins was in North Wakes in UK. Er used to cycle around North Wales when we were teenagers, sleeping in barns or Youth Hostels, depending in getting a bed or having the money for one.
Rge 2 cruises we did in the Inside passage were fantastic. The Salmon where fighting to go upstream to lay their eggs. The bears were prowling the sides of the rives & through the woods, We were given a talk about the best way to protect yourself if you met a bear. With one you had to stand as tall as you could with the other curl up & pretend dead. The problem was it was difficult to say which was which as the brown bear could be black & vice versa. We never met one out in the open but did see silly people trying to take a photo of a mother bear with twin cubs
The woods & the sides of the rivers stunk with dying salmon. They were everywhere. There certainly shortage for the bears. We went on a huge glaciers on these giant buses, When we were allowed out then tyres were as tall as us. We were warned to be careful where you walked if you fell down a hole they would like find you in the distance future at the bottom of the glacier,
It so certainly to do such a trip we went on the top deck to look out for all the animals in the woods as we went along. There rafts of sea otters carrying their babies on their fronts as they paddled along. They showed no hint iff fear from us. Then the crew would come out & cook biscuits brownies, for chocolate, never dr.unk so much hot chocolate in my life. Were so spoilt.. they kept watch fir us also calling out, there were binoculars any & everywhere. Just had ti reach out as you ran for the stairs.
I reckon it was about the best holiday I ever had. We had no special dressing it was relaxing all the way.

I would probably go back to Darwin - my most happiest time was when I was living there back in the mid 70's up until the early 80's. It was just a fantastic, easy going lifestyle where no one was in a hurry and if you wanted spare parts for your vehicle, it had to come from Adelaide. Those were the days!

Locations like the snowy Sapporo, famous for it's beer and skiing, or gorgeous Nagoya and it's deer park. Or switch onto the modern, part westernised, part traditional, fully crazy world cities, like the haywire Tokyo or the food capital Osaka. Maid cafes, beer factories, 24/7 alcohol serving kombinis, animes, izakayas, ramune, takoyaki and PLENTY of shopping! You name it, Japan has it. I did have a trip planned to go there on a working holiday in my teens, but it fell through as I was advised through proper channels that work was scarce and not to go so I never got there. Canada is the most beautiful country in the world which has everything, There's the mountains with a scenic rail ride, the lakes and streams, snow and wonderful wild life. I would visit my pen pal in St Brieux in the province of Saskatchewan as she wants to show me the sights of her homeland. As Canada's would be too cold for me coming from Queensland I would visit in the summer time. It is just a dream now as I know I will never get there as I am carer for my husband.

If I still have the wanderlust, I'd go across to Eastern Europe. Summer in the Northern parts, Winter in the Southern parts. Possibly to Asia - Central Asia interests, eg the Silk Road. Then maybe North America - Canada fascinates. The history of places, scenery; try to get to know the ways of the locals if possible. That's about as far as my adventurousness goes. Most definitely the United Kingdom. I am from Southeast Asia, but I grew up studying in a British International School following the British syllabus. I've learned everything British, from British English to British History and Geography, and suffice to say I've fallen in love with this distant land! It is just steeped in so much tradition, culture, and history (everything from their castles and The Queen, to government customs and old idiosyncrasies), it's absolutely amazing learning about it, I can only imagine how it would be like to be physically immersed directly. I have been to the UK three times before, but those occasions were when I was younger and so unfortunately I can remember little of those travels. I would love to be able to go more often, and so if I wasn't limited by price or any other factor, I would most definitely chose to go to the United Kingdom!

Just the idea of water activities along the beach, relaxing on the sands with some drinks and hidden waterfalls in a forest is incredibly appealing to me. If I could, I would even get married there or even better, live there for life would happen without a second thought. Just nodding off as the sun sets on the beach, along the sands or even on a boat, I would imagine would be an amazing experience. Especially love those kinda nights where it's warm with a cool cold/warm breeze a buzzing(busting?) and hustling night life with a drink in hand, delicious food in the other and company of like minded people is my cup of tea.

The watermelon still has all the black pips. Most produce is seasonal--if not in season, then you cant buy it, though a very few locals know how to get them at times. I have never felt more healthy in my whole life than when I lived in Sri Lanka--even psychologically healthier !! I found it cheaper to shop on most items and services. I felt alot safer walking around and even at night. So many amazing places to see and activities to do in Sri Lanka.

Surrounding yourself in different cultures is such a fulfilling experience that is indescribable. However, if I had to chose one place to go it would have to be Greece (typical, I know!). I mean, how could you not?! Greek food alone is just out of this world! Sunsets and Sangria's in Santorini sounds like paradise perfection to me. So why not? I would head straight to London and find a base to stay there. After exploring London, I would head to Paris. I would spend time in Paris and France in general. As I love history and architecture, these two places alone would keep me very busy. Then I would go to Barcelona, explore there, after which I would board a Holland America ship to do a Mediterranean cruise, which would take in places along the French Riveria, Italy, Greece, Malta, Croatia, Monaco etc. The cruise would finish in Venice after 22 days, where I would spend at least a week. Then take the fast train from Venice to Rome and spend at least a week in Rome. From there I would head back to London and I would like to base myself there for at least 6 months and from this base I would venture to other European destinations. Wow, I would love to do that.

I would love to cruise the world. Take a year off work, book a suite on the QM2, and go see this beautiful planet we live on.

Being an Australian who has never gone over seas, I would probably head towards going to England and exploring the country side out there. The main reason I would go to England would to be able to get the opportunity to go to a shop that many people in my family talk about. Has anyone here ever had a nice holiday in Australia.

It has to be scenic because I love the to see how each countries differ naturally. One place that I really wanted to go is New Zealand where it has the most beautiful scenery and I'd like to trace the locations where the Lord of the Rings were filmed. That aside, I would to go for an European tour, again for the scenery and cultural experiences.

Pompeii! When I was 9 the Pompeii exhibition came to Brisbane and I went with my class to see it, I've been fascinated ever since. I would stay in luxury hotels in Italy and hire a driver to take myself and my partner out to Pompeii and anything related to it, then drive down the coast in a convertible.

My Dream is Vegas and Grand Canyon. I would love to get lost in the atmosphere of Vegas and see the Granduer of the Canyon. I have only ever seen it on TV and would one day like to visit. I have become a huge fan of cruising in recent times. I have taken five over the past two years (two with Royal Caribbean and two with Celebrity). We are about to take our first cruise with Princess in July. So far the cruises have taken us to: New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Singapore, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Malaysia. The one in July takes us to Japan and a small island in Russia.
If I could travel anywhere, it would still be a cruise, but one through Alaska. The cruise price is fine but it is the cost of airfares that is prohibitive.
An Asian River cruise would also be good, and more affordable!

Dream destination is Bora Bora on the water, but have done the East Coast on the USA and absolutely loved it. Europe is beautiful. Variety is the spice of life, so mix of climates, mix of cultures. I tend to do sightseeing rather than relaxing, but that is a value for money thing. If money was not an issue, crazy pace sightseeing followed by relaxation to wind down towards the end.

I wish I could do six weeks or so every year and just gradually work through a bucket list of countries and cultures. ahhhhh

I was recently looking at a map for a roadtrip of Europe. Covered pretty near all countries with about 14-20 days driving, allow about 3 months if you actually want to see anything.. :) It looked good. I found a few castles there to stay in, just for something different.

Singapore for a cultural education on how the natives live! I've been there before but always seem to forget to see or do something! Go for a month and stay in the city in a 5 star hotel and use public transport to see all the sights. Use a taxi to see all the markets and spend time doing some food sampling in different regions or even a little retail therapy.
They don't have pensions or medicare there, so everyone regardless of age or gender has to work.
Last time we met a 78 year old who was cleaning tables in a restaurant and living with 6 others in a shanty town.
I know it's humid there, but that's why you want a 5 star hotel to go back to when you need a rest and to replenish your energy levels.

Round the world ticket please, stop by China and walk the nearly 300 k wall, pass through small cities and towns. I obviously have the time and the money, I have a round the world ticket. Then to some rice paddy fields in Vietnam. There is a walk (god knows how long in Spain - saw it in a DVD that I want to walk) and the Inka trail in South America, all the while gathering more information on what to do and see as I go along. Travelling like that with a course but flexible alls knowledge to take you where ever you please. I could go to every country and do their walks. Thats what I would like to do and lots of eating.

Why do people take the time to travel overseas when there is so much of Australia to be seen?, My husband and I love travelling and we make a point to travel every year in January and returning home in April, so far we have covered over 300,000 ks, between Perth and Victoria, we have had the best time ever, especially in Port Lincoln S.A,. The easy going life of getting up when ever you want and travel as far as you wish, and the friends you make along the way, can't be beaten, Going overseas having to forever look over your shoulders that you are not offending so culture, or sect, is something that would never appeal to me, Home is where the heart is and Australia is my home and country

Antarctica is on our bucket list. It's certainly one of the last frontiers that have not been impacted by tourism and/or "progress". To see such a pristine wilderness with a variety of animals, birds and sea creatures in their natural habitat would be a wonderful experience.

Visiting Antarctica is currently very expensive because of it's isolation and the specialty transport required so it would be perfect in a "money is no object" scenario. It's actually one of the first things we come up with when we have those "If we won Lotto ..." discussions :)

And just travel to all the beautiful islands of Hawaii and then travel to Tahiti, do all kinds of stuff there, and enjoy the beaches and scenery, then travel to Cook Island, and then to the Bahamas, California, Ney York, all the States of America. Go to Antarctica and see polar bears and feed penguins, than go everywhere in Africa, Europe, Middle East. Spend cash in Dubai. Pretty much travel the world, and buy a yacht! I want to visit Maldives. I want to stay at the amazing wooden houses made on the water. I just love lying at beach and looking the sunrise or sunset. Or start at the West coast of the US and meander and noodle around (via a big RV!) heading to the East coast in a very convoluted manner, ticking off every state (yes, I know I'd have to do a jump to Alaska & Hawaii).

It would be a world tour, visiting plenty of out the way destinations, starting at say Alaska and going right down through the whole continent then onto the next continent and so on until all areas of the world were covered, including as many different types of holidays as are available, ie Adventure, Cruises, sailing a yacht, train trips, guided tours, self managed tours, campervan, motorcycling, walking, etc.

i do believe i would be found in the warmer parts of the north american swimming areas maybe florida beaches for around 6 months with two or three near bare bottemed 18 to 21 females slim and thin and then head up to the gold coast and rest and relax on the warmer parts of the australkian beach with a new pair of females

My husband and I went on a travel trip in August last year. Read up on Tripadvisor, for tips and assistance to the countries that we were planning to visit.

We started in London ,then went to Santorini, where we attended a dear friend's wedding, then went to Athens Greece, then to Eygpt , Cairo, Luxor, Alexandria. We then travelled to Rome, Italy , then to Venice, Then to Paris France and then back to London before making a long flight back to Malaysia to stay with the in-laws before heading back home to Brisbane.

It was a wonderful trip but it was fast paced. We traveled on buses ,trains, vans etc. Honestly there were days when we woke up and wondered where are we, what time is it and where are we going again???

To be honest I would go back to Samoa...yes its little you can not really see it on the map but it is a great place to relax and be free from stress...its diverse and if you still like to busy life its stil a great little place to be...and the good thing about it is that it does not cost the world...Fiji, Hawaii, other paradise places are abit ore expensive because of flash hotels and all that, but let me tell you if you want to taste what real relaxation is then Samoa is the place to go...you can ask local people who will let you board with them for free and there you can be part of the family hahaha...don't believe me then try it yourself...

If I had just won the lottery or price wasn't an issue, I would say that I would be travelling everywhere. I would just travel from country to country exploring each one as much as possible before moving on.

Ive just won the lottery huh, well then we are all off to America for 8 weeks. why? because I have dreamed of spending a couple of months in America since I was 9. We would take our time to see and explore all the adventure parks, take in the less touristy type things such as mini golf and tenpin bowling, do some shopping, a holiday isnt a holiday without shopping. Enjoy the sites, smells and sounds. but alas, right now I must return to the real world and work.

I would love to sail around the mediterranean in a luxury yacht and visit all the ports of interest on offer. To learn first hand about all the history of these places would be a dream come true and the sailing of a hugh yacht would be a great experience. Our 8 metre yacht is great but the launching and retrieving is starting to take its toll on us now, but before it gets too much I would just like to sail a large scale yacht.

I would go to Santorini. The incredible colour of the sea in this area is mystical. The white buildings are like castles in the clouds. I would rent a little villa on top of the cliffs and walk down every day to swim and snorkel. Feast on seafood and wine. Then I would return home probably overweight but very happy.

I would go to any place which is rather warm quiet low traffic and people do not smoke in restaurants and hotels such as Bali. Respectful neighbors that don't blast you with their music 12 hours a day. So it would probably have to be on a tropical Island near Thailand where relaxing is totally that.

I would really love to fly to South Africa with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 3 NZ granddaughters, to Cape Town and to Durban....... My other children and grandchildren live there. To bask in the warm sunlight with all my children and my grandchildren to soak up the moments loving them and collecting hugs to dream about for years to come. Greater yet would be to bring them home with me to New Zealand to show them what it is to live free and to celebrate my 50th next year with them all!

Friends who have done this trip say its stunning, amazing beauty and the whole adventure makes you feel invigorated and inspired. I'd go back to Koh Samui in Thailand where we stay at a small family run place which is right on the beach, food brilliant & so cheap plus eating fresh mangoes, pineapples & b.b.q. sweet corn everyday. Local shops only 5 minutes walk away. We're going back for 4 weeks in under 2 weeks time. Weather tropical & even it if rains for 10 minutes or so, it's still warm approx 30c & we're still wearing our bathers. Only cost really are our flights from Perth WA plus the 6 hour drive to the airport but it's well worth it. Already planning to go there again next year. We just love it & the Thai people are so friendly and kind and always smiling.

My life's dream is to go a Pacific Island cruise, but more than anything I would love to visit Eastern Europe specifically Lithuania. this is where my Dad was born and I would love to retrace my grandparents steps where they lived, even though I know none of the Jews in the town where my Dad came from except for one survived. Today there is a small jewish community which is being be revived there and I would so like to go and see it.

I would return to London, its such an wonderful place, its got all of the things a heart could desire, shopping is a rare treat and unbeatable for variety and cultire, the food is fantastic, the entertainment all encompassing the history is unbeatable, its the centre of the music industry, the markets are impressive, the transport system is reliable, and you can even catch the train to Paris, the Royal family are classy, caring, elegant and well loved by all, and when you arrive, they speak english, no communication issues, this very big busy city is where i would go in first class style.

In the USA I would enjoy the scenery and attend a Comic Con or two with my girls (and probably be dragged to Disney Land & Warner Bros by them). We'd also go to South America and Asia on the way back.
Assuming there's anything left we'd explore Northern Australia as well.

12 or 18 months with an RV travelling the entire USA & Canada. Noth, South, East, West and everything in between. Stop wherever you want and stay as long as you like in places. If you get somwhere and it's not that good, keep tdriving further up the road. If you like it and want to see more, stay an extra day or so. Did a similar thing on my honeymoon, but sadly only had 5 weeks. Would love to continue the trip.

Six months in Louisiana doing the Cajun festivals - lovely people, good food & great music. Might even swing over to Geprgia for Mule Day or go to Texas for the Texan Swing festivals. Oh, bliss!

I would start in Taheke New Zealand and travel all through the Bay of Islands. Travel through the Red Mountains in Rawhiti swim the blue seas fish for yellow fins then down to Waitangi to visit the place of my tupuna, the signing of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, through Rotorua......If I win Lotto I would visit all the hidden treasures of my own country from the top to the bottom. New Zealand is a beautiful place with much to see.
