Once it's on our table it is too late to give it away. We must learn not to waste food. We should buy only what we need, being careful not to waste it. We can give the money we save to charities who will support people, especially children who through no fault of their own are desperate, starving and dying. Reply

I agree, afew months ago, a friend I was talking to about this, mentioned that her and her family help out in a soup kitchen to serve the poor for xmas - that is such a great idea - in preparation you need to have some injections and I look to go and get those done so that I can serve there. Reply

I agree with that. I think we have to watch how much food we throw away. Like maybe if some item is on special you could buy an additional one for the needy people. So you are making an attribute, but it doesn't like cost heaps of money. Reply

I also donate clothes which I no longer wear. Recently I was sick and lost a lot of weight. I packed up several bags of clothes of mine and my Mother's and a friend took them to a charity for me. I also foundsome very old ones that were rather worn out (some had small holes), so I sent them to the Animal Welfare League rather than putting them in the bin. They will accept anything that doesn't have "filling" in it. They also have Op shops where the needy can buy clothes cheaply. Reply
