Just wondering what others think of "free sms"..

Free is one of the most searched words on the internet, and having free SMS is very popular. Put these key words together with all the words that relate to your business, you get more traffic and more people interested. The best part is people have to register through your website to get the free SMS service and you get their contact details to follow them up.

Hiya

SMSPUP is another free sms to anywhere, and it shows you've sent it.

Handy if you happen to run out of credit.

Cheers,
Lise

Been using smspup for years.
haven't found an OS version yet, but NetToPhone does it cheap enough.

Remember, if you are overseas & can log into the net, you can use SMSPUP to contact people at home... them contacting you is a problem, but to get them to check for an urgent email (or go turn the iron off), it's handy.

I use rewards central and a certain amount of sms every day are free. It is easy to send as you are typing on the keyboard of your computer and rc gives you quite a few words.

FreeSpeakingLarry domain has expired! Obviously gone broke providing a free service!
SMSpup is ok, but they only provide local sms in OZ. I have loads of points and friends overseas I'd like to send sms to more regularly. But SMSPup still doesn't provide international sms. I have asked them and they just give me useless answers like not under consideration at the moment.

They do discount OS SMS through NetToPhone - just don't expect the SMS to be delivered. We were sending to Europe and Asia, but less than 1 in 10 would arrive. Of course, we were still charged.

For SMSPUP, we have enough points to last a lifetime & will probably never get through them all.

Hi

Just to share it is still up and running
freespeakinglarry.

There is nothing on this site where you can send a free sms.

Just some rubbish about web traffic etc, promotions and other useless crap.

Not interested in this crap, just want a site where I can send free international sms to my friends overseas.

I have used SMSPup since it started and find it very useful, particularly for SMS broadcasts to groups like family, church etc. I have also used the scheduled SMS feature which allows you to send at a particular time in the future - good for birthdays or just reminders. When my son was working in Canada I used TextItUp.com but I don't think it is operational any more so I am keen to try FreeSpeakingLarry.com now that he is back there. If you have messages that you commonly send you can save these on your PC and cut and paste them into outgoing free SMS messages.

free sms is really good, especially when sometimes your phone breaks down or you leave it at home on the way to work, you can sms someone something important. and its quite good if you just have to click on an ad for example to get some free sms.

There are others like BlueSkyFrog... not sure if this one exists anymore...
Also, there's smspup.com. This one exists, but it's based on earning points.
