personally they are very much alike yet very different, with google chrome you have the options of the image search {using a url or an image on your system} so a plus. but with IE you can have a google search bar but it needs be installed as an extension a con :( then again in chrome on some systems if you have adobe flash player installed, it can clash with the shockwave plug in of chrome a con :(, but in the end it's a personal choice, having a couple of browsers can be handy. but in the end research is the key to making a valid choice

I use chrome and find it no problem. I have found that when I log on I choose the 'incogneto' mode. Each time I want to open a new window, I click on the next window and then close the one I am using. So each time go to say hotmail and finish, I close it and open a new window. Sometimes I check the 'history' and always find that there is no history. When I shut down the internet I also do a wipe of any lingering programs or history. After i then do a computer scan.

After using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and internet explorer, i have found that google chrome is the best. The best thing about Chrome is the speed at which it operates. Book marks tab and the ability to remember passwords are the same across the board in being very good.

I have had to delete it from one of my computers because I couldn't change a security code without doing so. I also have recently discovered that it has been blocking my security software and feel very aggrieved that this didn't come up immediately as a warning. I have not found it useful enough to continue with in the light of the above problems

Chrome is a great choice for using a computer constantly. I am working on my pc plus using for home so it needs to have more than one browser, I use 3 on here. Chrome is always my first choice for normal stuff. IE seems best at some times, but mozilla has the more attachments and tools.

I have used it but found very little difference in speeds when searching or such like.
I did find a lot of sights did not support chrome so I deleted it.

Google chrome has changed my life for the better. No more crashes and pages taking forever to load or just freezing every hour. It's faster, cleaner and easier to use and I like many of the additional features like auto-fill and spell-check

I use Chrome for most of my searches and Utube and many other things and find it to be a lot faster than IE. But I still have my IE right where I can access it and run searches on it while I'm involved on Chrome. My HP laptop handles all the open apps quite nicely as I do what I need to do and run searches for music and quickly store in two clicks what I want to keep on Chrome. I don't understand it, but I love technology like this. Can someone tell me about an operating system called lepard?

I tried IE but my pc kept locking up, since using chrome I've had no problems and I love the auto fill and the intuitive browser. Just great.

It's only been 17 hours but so far, so good! Many more perks than expected but still missing an item or two: No flag like Firefox displays of originating sites; no status bar 'done' displayed or progress indicator but the new theme options, auto-fill, spell-check seems to be working fine...it also seems to load faster & the bookmark bar allows a 'personalization' in addition to the theme which is very handy with unique tab histories! Any loading speed increase is naturally welcome but also, with all the bells & whistles 'enabled', the searches take off & land at the speed of a stroke! That in itself is worth the 20 minutes - 2 hours it takes to download, install, familiarize & reap the rewards! Next step will be the youtube test...we'll 'letchaknow'!

no worries with Chrome on Utube at all. 2 click save of your sites, no fuss and I have found it to load very quickly. Only one problem I encountered was I have somehow lost my address add on to enhance video and sound quality for Utube. Anybody out there can help, maybe???? It was letter, letter, letter and 18 I think???

I think it is definetley faster. However, I do find myself useing IE for somethings as not all aplications work as well on it. I also found that color seems to be more vibrant using Crome.

It depends what your using it on. I find it better on the netbooks, but on PCs I prefer Firefox

I use it on the netbook for its "To do" list.

I gave up on Chrome... but I also gave up on using IE as well and went to Firefox because IE kept on freezing. Technology is changing so much that each person's experience is totally different and you need to work it out. Some people may love Chrome and others not. I think it is determined by what you want to achieve.

Cheers

I use Firefox, wouldn't consider using Google Chrome, nor Windows explorer of any version to be honest.

Yes it is quite good and easy to use, takes less computer power and is fast.

I use it as my default browser. Its the fastest out there and i like that each tab is its own process so if one tab crashes you don't lose all the others. The downside to this is it can use a lot of resources. This isn't an issue if your computer is fast but an older machine may struggle.

Some websites won't work with it, but that is getting rarer and rarer now.

I used to use firefrox, but now i use chrome, it is simpler and easier to use and is just as fast if not faster.

We do have Chrome installed but I don't use it now because it seems to take over the programs that already installed. It changes a lot of the pages that are useful and although it seems like a good idea we are creatures of habit and don't like to start all over again trying to find the pages that we are used to.We found that to people like us it is a bit too advanced for what we want to do with the internet.

When I had a Windows laptop I used it and it was great. Much better than IE.

I have a MacBook now so I use Safari, but might look into Chrome for Mac. I think it is great on PC.

I find it's the speediest browser of those I've tried. However I found myself coming back to firefox, merely because I'm set in my ways, with my addons and such.

Unless you are wanted by the FBI, CIA, ASIO or some other such organisation or you are doing something illegal why worry. BIG BROTHER has been watching everything you do for years. Every time you use your credit card at the supermarket they know how often you shop there and what you bought. The bank knows everywhere you go and what you buy with your credit card. Store Loyalty Cards detail every individual item you purchased and when so the stores can figure out what to sell. Again I say if you are not doing anything illegal, why worry.
Personally I find Google Chrome better than Windows Explorer.
