Being 13 months into re-feeding my 18yo Anorexic son, I would discourage any type of fasting. Metabolism as a memory and fasting ends up being a great way to gain weight.

Intermittent fasting? You mean overnight? :D
Depends how busy I am. If I'm too busy it could easily be a few days between meals.

I used the 5:2 to lose a couple of kilos a while ago, and like everybody else I have spoken to, found it extremely easy and effective. Now I fast every Saturday (not for weight loss), and additionally every 3 months I fast for 5 consecutive days - it's quite true, after the first 2 days, you hardly feel hungry at all. Now my weight never fluctuates and I must assume that I am reaping considerable health benefits. I would recommend it to anyone. And by the way, the new 5:2 allows you 800 calories per day on a fasting day.

Hi Phil
I have heard good things about 5:2 including the fact that it works well with diabetic people too.

Hi Leonardus
What have you tried earlier for good health? I am able to chat through social media or offline about this if you want more information about the intermittent fasting that I am doing. Which country are you in?

Hi there. My name is Leanne and today is day 6 of my intermittant 28-day cleansing fast. So far, unlike diets I have tried in the past, I am not hungry in between meals and I seem to have more focus. Perhaps it is because I am not eating grains nor red meat at the moment. Even on my 2 lapses, (1 hour on day 4 when I had some cheese, chocolate from the ice-magic bottle) and today, (chicken nuggets, chips, cheese and bacon ball snack foods, liquorice, maybe icecream and chocolate before bed tonight) I am eating less, feel the flatulent effect these foods have on my digestive system and generally know I will be greener and cleaner in my eating tomorrow!! How is everyone else going?
