Sorry folks .. no Doggy treats or lippy etc... I reckon she has a bottle of Gin in there. Lets face it she meets some pretty boring people, she would need something to spice up the day.. :)

I'd say personalized HRH hankies, doggy treats for the corgies, cell phone, voice recorder, notes for a royal speech and oh a risque picture of Prince Philip... because every now and then she has a wicked grin. ;)

The Queen uses her hangbag as a signal to her minders. She does carry a hankie and some sort of herbal stuff in it, but the hangbag is the signal either she wants to leave, she is getting bored, take this horrible man away frm me, or maybe even she wants to go to the toilet....she places the bag in a certain position, maybe front on means get me awayfrom here, side n is I am ok here for a while, etc.. and nobody even knows....well you all do now.

very intuitive reply. i wonder if you have studied the matter, or are aware of other monarchs/famous persons using the same technique?

Lace hankies in her bag and possibly handwipes but then again she never removes her gloves in public.
