Old music are far more good and better to listen than todays music.Todays musics they come and go and they dont last for long. But old music they were created in such a way that everybody wants to listen averytime. They are kind of lengendary works.Different types of instrument sere used and all the members in a band can perform in such a good way. They were like inspiration for us.

Agree - I might be showing my age, but the music from the last 5 years has been very disappointing and hardly creative.
Music in the 90s actually had good melodies, harmonies and great production.

Hi everyone, I’m 19 this year and very much into current music. But I also love 90s music. I feel like today’s music has become much more diverse, in that there isn’t one type of music that dominates. All are appreciated in equal measure (pop, funk, house, rap, etc.). I’m sure you’ll be able to find something you like from current artists (:

Trends in music come and go, just like in anything else. It is a valid comment, but in ten, twenty years you never know, we may look back on this decade in music with some reverence. Its just the natural cycle of things.

I agree with you, I am always listening to the old music from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s those were the best music era which I miss the most. Most of the music today not all but most of them for me is unbearable. I really miss the good old days of music.

These days I mainly listen to the head-banging music of the 1500-1800's. Much of the caterwauling that is played on the radio now I can't take for too long. Or maybe it's the almost incessant chatter or the supposedly funny (grossly over-paid) announcers

How right you are, todays music/singing consists of how loud the "singer" can shout. I know I'm old (77) and probably my father thought the same about my teen age music but at least everyone could sing along to it. Let's go really retro and bring back the Big Bands and then progress on to old time rock n roll.

Its funny because people say this every single generation. Back in the 90s everyone thought the music sucked. I actually think if you are listening to the right music, the innovations in the sounds being created in our age, because of technology, is pretty impressive. If you can appreciate it, you may change your mind. Dont forget the talent that has undeniably come out of the 2000s, I'm not one to listen to mainstream or popular music but incredible voices like adele, huge names like Justin Bieber and One Direction, talented songwriters like Tay Swift, Beyonce put out her best stuff in these couple of years - I understand your point of view but you could take it right back to when Beethoven was conducting symphony orchestras and say no one from the 19th century could ever be that legendary.

i don't think any decade in music is superior to any other. every decade had its good and bad. the only reason half of that stuff is "legendary" is because of people like on this thread who think oh it's old therefore is amazing. Every generation says the same nonsense. music in 2014 is not worse than the 2000s, 90s, 80s. you are welcome to not like certain artists but it's silly to write off all music today. there's plenty of great stuff if you watch Rage, listen to Triple J, etc rather than watch mainstream music shows which are all about what's popular that week and they have people who like that stuff vote for it or listen to stations like Nova. I enjoy music from all decades and genres. It doesn't mean I like everything, it just means I give everything a chance.

you have a good point, there are now so many different kinds of rock today that it's not even funny. ACDC, Hendrix, Van Hallen and much more were the best. but now theres all these boy bands that suck like Short Stack and Big Time Rush

The demand for the ‘90s sound is back – and it’s no surprise because today’s generation can’t reproduce that sound. For example, a Sacramento radio station permanently changed its alternative rock theme to adopt a strict ‘90s-only program list, after receiving tons of public requests.
