I think that we should put a stop to pet crulity if it happens one to many time we lose our best friend , that onee person that u could tell anything and it wouldn't tell a living sole the creature, that one animal that will always love u and if it happens to other animals imagine how the pets would feel beecaus ewe all wouldn't want our pets to end up beaten hurt and heartbroken on the side of a road someday its us that has to stick up for our friendly and loving pets the look up to us to you.

I think the way we treat ALL animals on this planet is a measure of us all as a compassionate & intelligent race - alas, sometimes I despair at the depths that the human race is capable of sinking to, and am embarrassed to call myself part of this so called intelligent race,but then I hear and see the comments on forums such as this and it gives me hope of a better world for all of us - humans and animals alike.Well done people,keep the dream of a better world alive!!

I agree and I believe people who harm animals in anyway should have the same penality they do to when harming any human.

I'm a huge animal lover have 2 horses and 4 cats 2 dog chickens turkeys geese. all animal deserve love and attention and to be looked after as another member of the family.. it breaks my heart to see some of the horses that go though sale yard(none I will name) and end up as dog food when all they needed was for someone who was willing to give them the tlc they need.. I believe that how the world is now with backyard breedings and animal abuse there needs to br put in place that you must have a animal licence to own any animal and it must be a forever home. plus high fines or even jail time.

i totally agree, it is completely wrong that so many people get away with it, ive seen it done to cats, dogs and horses, its pretty damn cruel! say something and then just get in trouble because noone wants to hear about it? honestly i reckon there should be some sort of law stopping this kind of rubbish happening!! i have pets and they are well looked after, why cant people just show the animals the love and care that they want/need!!

i completely agree if there are laws against child abuse then there should be harsher laws and consequences for animal abuse, im not saying children are like animals but really pets can not speak for them selves so someone should

I completely agree with you ... there should be hardsher laws against animmal cruetly the things they do to animalscits disgusting an outrage and they just seem to get worse .. the news breaks my heart .. ive signed every form on stop animal cruetly but still no laws have changed and its getting worse :(

There are harsh laws, just no judge with enough guts to enforce the law to it's maximum extent. Puppy farmers are a good example, in Kingaroy a couple of years ago a woman had over 140 dogs kept as many as 6 to a pen, in filthy rotten conditions, so thin they could barely stand and up to their eyeballs in pups.
A bitch has to have plenty of nutrition to feed herself and provide enough milk to feed her pups. I think a spell in the conditions they expect their dogs to live in, with the food rations they provide their animals, would be a good place to start as far as punishment goes. This particular woman got a 3 month good behaviour bond and was limited to 3 bitches for the next 3 years I think it was, and after that.....probably right back the way it was. For the love of god judges, have the balls to enforce the law in these cruelty cases and all other cases of cruelty to animals. In the USA they don't get away with it, they go to jail and even those conditions are too good for them.
