I'm interested in taking up tatting and wonder if any members have ideas as to what I should start with, like equipment, where to buy supplies and what would be the easier patterns, to begin a different hobby?

Here are some sites for you. A youtube video, an online tatting supplies store and another site with multiple links to useful information. During my search I also saw links to free patterns and instructions.

Any good fabric store will have all the supplies you need and I would guess a beginner's book too. If you do an internet search you will likely find innumerable free patters for doilies or other small projects. Cheers.

Hi Wooly.
Thank you for your suggestions. They are much appreciated. Getting to a good fabric store is a bit of a problem but maybe online will do. I hope to get started soon.
Cheers.
