What do you think about the Australian Cricket Teams latest decision to drop four players because they didn't do their 'homework', set by the coach. The homework set was to write or do a verbal presentation of what they can do to improve their performance for the next test.
I thought that the coaches job was to view each players performance and then work out where they were lacking and set training programs to suit.
This sounds a bit like schoolboy cricket coaching to me.
What do you think?

Interesting to see that Micky Arthur has been dropped as coach and Darren Lehman employed. Perhaps we will see a difference in the team which him at the helm. I hope he will sort out the problem of Micheal Clark's spats with some of the players. I am sure the old coach let Clarke do what he wanted without pulling rank on him. Going to be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Its stupid and the Australian team really did suffer from it

I think we need to get rid of Michael Clarke as captain he is all about himself and nothing to do with the team. Replace him with someone who is all about the team and will focus on winning.

this decision was not just about the 'homework'. this was about other minor incidents before hand that has accumulated. it was also about coach Mickey Arthur stamping his authority on the team and just letting know the players that he is in charge.

I am in support of your views. Even a accused is given a chance to rehabilitate. There is no one in this world without a problem. So better give them a chance and
I am certain this will carry more weight

Surely such elite people have better things to do than pander to a Captain or Coach that sets homework. Get real.

I think that yes it does sound like school boy cricket but these players are the best of the best & they are highly paid to represent our country. We are not there, we do not know what is truly was that they did wrong. They are aware of the rules that they have to play under & an old schoolboy excuse does not justify their not completing a part of their role in representing Australia
