I had noticed some ragged holes in the silver beet - thought we had super slugs
However the other evening one of our cat was chomping on the cat mint the other was taking great bites out of the silver beet.
Furriest slugs I have ever seen.
Must be good for them though

If you want to keep your cat out of the silver beet, buy a cat scarer. We have two. We don't have cats but found out that these cat scarers keep unwanted cats out of our landscaped yard.

My parents have a dog who was found on the side of the road. He was only a couple of months old but must have been living in the bush a while because when they took him in and gave him fresh dog food he much preferred the tomato bushes and bugs that hung around. It was quite funny to watch him catch grasshoppers! He is 3 years old now and you still see him occasionally knawing on the cherry tomatoes. Although he has worked out that fresh meat everyday is much more of a treat.

Ha ha! I have the same problem. My dog keeps eating tomatoes straight off the plant. Not entirely sure tomatoes are all that good for dogs so I've got to stop her doing it. She's also been known to help herself to strawberries too.

I had a friend who tried to grow garlic and it kept being dug up.
They couldn't work out what it was until their long haired golden retriever jumped on them and they got a whiff of his breath !!! LOL
