To tell you the truth, while I congratulate those ahead who have done successfully, personally I believe it is a very dangerous area. I have had so many aproach me on the first contact with 'I believe you are the person for me'. Hey. lets get to know each other first, some of them live on the other side of the world! Like any relationship, you have to start somewhere, but the deep end is not the place. Yes, as we have been told it can and does happen but the big rule, tread carefully.

YES! I met my husband in a chat group in the 90's, he flew to the US to visit me, then bought me a ticket to come to Australia and meet his family. We have been happily married for 13 years and I'm a dual citizen!

Absolutely! I met my husband on ICQ 11.5 years ago - I was in NZ, he was in Scandinavia. Twelve months later he arrived for a 3 week holiday - our friendship turned to romance, and 18 months later he moved here permanently. Have now lived together for 10 years - been married for 8.5 of those years :)
