Discontinued Olympic Events/New Events

I've been looking on the internet at a site that lists discontinued Olympic Events. It's fascinating to discover that tug-of-war, underwater swimming and the swimming obstacle race was once a part of the Olympic Program.

I'd love to see a return of some of these more creative events. What would you like to see as part of the Olympic program? Darts might be interesting or maybe the egg and spoon race! I'd love to see some funny events as well as the more serious ones.

It could be a good way to have a bit of light hearted competition, but do it pre- or post-Olympic Games.
Maybe hold a completely separate games for just the discontinued and unusual games.

Good idea Captured. Something to distract us from all the serious stuff in the world for a little bit.

What about medals awarded to the IOC members with the best list of freebies - and then the list handed to tax authorities. Then we wil see some real athletic action, if any one can catch up to them.

Sure... throw in the Goanna Pull & Intergalactic Tic-Tac-Toe for good measure. I'm sure our interplaneary neighbours are feeling slighted for not being invited to play.

Cut it back to the original 10 events only.
If you get paid to do the sport, you can't compete.
Keep in in one country all the time - Greek games, so Greece deserves this honour. It stops the IOC corruption & other countires going broke trying to host it.
