Why aren't politicians on a performance assessment.......i.e. they make a promise to get elected and don't keep that promise - should their pay get docked?

Payment for performance, NIL! It would be great if we were to work their pay out! It would be minimal unless they did something extraordinary to help all who need it, let not one Australian [meaning also the genuine "migrants" who have integrated] be without a roof, warm clothes, food, a bed & make sure power is affordable . Look after the Hospitals, staff, medical, paramedics, firies, etc. Find or create jobs for all who can work, no dole bludgers as such, earn their keep! CUT JUDGES WAGES UNTIL THEY PERFORM AS WE BELIEVE IS FAIR! Delete the silver spoon brigade & give the jobs in Parliament to everyday Joes'[ladies inclusive, some great housewives ...Executive Directors of Household Affairs] Shame some people have not got the confidence to put themselves forward for a parliamentary role, I think they would do tons better than the arguing, bickering bunch we have now. We need to respect them, but HOW! Time they came down to the real world of the ordinary people & their problems. No money goes out of the Country until we fix our backyard first...

What have you done since being elected that has benefited the majority of Australians not the minority?
