I have recently joined the local Lions Club because all the money raised is used for needy causes. As all members are volunteers,no money raised through various activities like Fairs,Barbecues etc is used up by administration fees & other expenses occurred by professional fund raisers. It also fosters a community spirit not motivated by profits

I also currently do volunteer work for the Red Cross - in the Op Shop. Its a great way of giving back to the community and also for meeting new people.

In addition I am a member of the local Lioness Club - and have been a member of the Lions family for over 40 years, having started as a Leo.

Charity work is very rewarding.
