Hi all,I am a man and I love cooking,I am 65 and as I do not work full time I do most of the cooking for my wife and son (21 and a uni student) so he is always hungrey and a fussie eater.I have a long time favorite recipe that is great for these colder nights and it always sticks to your tummy. Depending on how many you are cooking for I allow two each of what I call stewing chops,I brown them in a small amount of oil, then place them into a large casarol or bakeing dish.I then add a tin of tomato soup and then half fill the empty tin with water and add that to the chops. Then you add whatever vegs you like (I use carrot, peas, celeryand either onion power or flake,(I do not like eating onion but don't mind the taste so I use power of flakes.)You can also add whatever spices you like it is a matter of taste,I use Italian Herbs and a little garlic power.I then peel a couple of potatoes and slice them into thin slices and place them on top of the mixture in the pan.I sprinkle a little Paprika onto them and cover and cook in a pre heated ovan at around 180/200c for about an hour to one and a half hours until the meat is cooked and falling off the bone. This is also very nice if you own a slow cooker. You can serve it on a bed of rice although I like mash potato.Try it I'm sure you will enjoy it,and the best part is that it will not cost an arm and a leg to prepare it.
