Hi, have just moved in with my man, and he cant cook really and hes good when he cooks but makes a mess and doesnt want to learn the basics. How about sharing some basic dinner recipes for the man!?

Meh! You'd be living on take away if you did that around me :-)

The point being that both the cooking and the washing up is shared around. When it's your turn to cook you get to make an equally big mess. Or better still, not. The point is to encourage good behaviour. Making the same person cook and do the dishes in one night is no way to encourage cooking.

The solution to the makes-a-big-mess problem is to give that person shit about it until it stops. Has worked three time so far. One girl I shared with apparently still cringes at the mention of Beef Stroganoff (she got sauce 4 feet from the pot and copped it for weeks)
