chris51 In the long term I feel that I will be ahead, as I have little to pay off the house, but it needs a lot of work. you are right our children are are biggest assets the law changes all the time i feel that when i turn 55 they will raise the age, when i was 47 the asset free on the house was 50 when i turned 50 it rose to 55, try talking to centrelink THey say that I live in my father house and should be paying rent, or that the house is a holiday home because their paper work is for aged pensioners They helped me fill the paperwork out then said I misled them i get so annoyed I earn slightly more than the cut off for benifits I hope good thing s come your way
