Not true - this is a broad statement. Try travelling (holidays) locally. Throw a tent in the car and go outback (bush). We (mum, dad and 3 kids) did a family camping trip in 2000 from CBR to Bourke - Broken Hill - Mongo NP and back. We had a fantastic time and saw / shared heaps of experiences.
