I always purchase home rand low fat milk, Mozarella sprinkle cheese (I use this on a lot of items which I cook) PHILLY COOKING CREAM IS A ' MUST HAVE' in my refrigerator as I also use this not only in cooking sauces etc. for savoury meals however have also discovered that it is totally awesome as a substitute for cream with deserts, cake etc!! (the taste reminds me of the very old-fashioned scalded cream which I loved! ) it also lasts forever in,the refrigerator, which is also a great thing as I mainly use it when my children come for dinner and I am serving desert! (they also have been converted to this instead of cream!)
Next I purchase a 'cholesterol lowering spread or an olive oil based one. I also like to keep REAL BUTTER in my refrigerator as I feel a little of everything is the 'way to go' and some items just simply need good old butter!
I have tried probiotics, however for my budget I ifind them to be too expensive.
I also add a packet of ordinary cheese slices as my dog loves to have one as a treat!! (spoilt!!)
Apart from that on occasion, I will maybe purchase Camembert which I love, or another type of cheese such as Colby which is another favourite!
I will do this more often when I am celebrating a special occasion with my family! - MOI
