Are there brands that you used to buy that are no longer in your local supermarket? What do you think of all these 'home brands'? Are they just as good as the named brands, are they cheaper, or are you still hankering after something in particular that just seems to have disappeared from the shelves? Give us your opinion.

A few years ago l called in to see my BILaw who was manager for one of the largest food packaging and manufacturers in the country, he took me for a look at what the did and how it was done, They were packaging cake mixes and the like and the different makes on the boxes astounded me, there would have been 6 different makes going through the packaging process at the same time, from what he said the contents were all the same but the carton was the only difference, made me my good lady change our ideas on brands House brands are good enough for us these days
