It really depends on your palette. I've found that certain home brand products are a better quality product than the named brands. Majority of the time you are just paying for the brand/label.
Most brands these days aren't even made in the country and have been bought out by other countries that skimp on quality.
So in reality you're paying foreigners for mediocre quality foods.
I personally would pay extra for products that were grown or made in the country.
