Years ago, the thought of having home brand in my home was too much for my little brain to cope with. But as I have gotten older, I try a home brand, if I like it I keep it, if I don't I wont go with it. I find Coles and Woolies are making their own brands and this keeps brands (especially cereal) achievable to bye. Because it is like copycats but with a different label. I am yet to try Coles Nutrigrain, which is half the price.
Anyway getting back to the brands. Some Home brands are a real bargin and I love them and others just wont do, for instance toothpaste NO, Two minute noodles NO, but tomato sauce YES. I cant think of too many more, but I am the firm believer to say yes, give it a go and become the best home brand critique you can and save a few bucks along the way.
