Are there brands that you used to buy that are no longer in your local supermarket? What do you think of all these 'home brands'? Are they just as good as the named brands, are they cheaper, or are you still hankering after something in particular that just seems to have disappeared from the shelves? Give us your opinion.

I do agree with you in here, in that those home brand necessities like the alfoil and kitchen wash up detergents are okay, I do use them a fair bit. I also totally agree with you that this leaves me with a bit of extra to purchase the named-brand food items.
This being said, I think in time the home brand products will evolve to be either equal in taste with the name brands if not better. I say this with the view that if a lot of the name brands are disappearing from the shelves, the Supermarkets will need to realize that they will need to replace them with home brands that are of equal quality in taste and value for money for their customers. So do hope so!!
