Are there brands that you used to buy that are no longer in your local supermarket? What do you think of all these 'home brands'? Are they just as good as the named brands, are they cheaper, or are you still hankering after something in particular that just seems to have disappeared from the shelves? Give us your opinion.

Yes! a lot of the home brands are okay but not as good as the well known brands. You just have to give them a go. I find to save money, if I use home brand necessities like coles toilet paper or cling wrap and alfoil, wash up detergent you can buy the good brands for things that matter more with taste like tinned pineapple or beetroot. I have found that coles baby peas are pretty good and the coles fake tim tams (surrenders) are a pretty close copy of the original. The trouble is as you say we are not even given the choice because a lot of our favourite foods have disappeared off the shelf and replace by cheaper home brands.
