Hello we are going to new York for a few days in September does anyone have any advice on the best things to see and also if you have a great place to stay that does not cost the earth and is central to the main attractions. This is our first trip over seas ! :)

Thanks for the feed back Mandy you've sold us ! we were at the travel agent today and it all sounds so exciting we can't wait to get there we will be in NY 4 days the hotel they chose worked out to be $1800 for 4 days I was a bit shocked by that figure (mind you it was a wonderful hotel ) but since we won't be staying there all day they are going to find something a bit cheaper for us. I was looking online and I see you can actually get apartments there for less $$ than hotels so that might be worth looking at too. We will definitely be doing some walking and looking around for zero dollars.
