Hello we are going to new York for a few days in September does anyone have any advice on the best things to see and also if you have a great place to stay that does not cost the earth and is central to the main attractions. This is our first trip over seas ! :)

I absolutely loved NYC! If you get a chance see a Broadway show and a basketball game at Madison Square Garden (great for celebrity spotting) and a real American cultural experience. Take a Horse and carriage ride around Central Park.
I'm sorry I can't remember the name of where we stayed but it was just down from Times Square heading toward Central Park. A great location and I think was very reasonably priced.
