Like most things there are people who have allergic reactions to some things but all in all hair colouring is safe I am 71 and have been colouring my hair from the age of 14 if you are sensitive to some things do a skin test if at home and if getting it done at the hairdresser go in 24 hours before and ask them to do a skin test,if you are worried about long term effects dont be,hope this helps Jan
