Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Hi Steve. I so agree with you. I get prickles on my skin with all this buy, buy, buy and Santa Claus. All the hype aggression and panic for one day of the year. If only we could just have a day when we celebrate a special birth that gave us all hope, gave us something to aim for. Don't mind a party but lets separate the two. Give the children their presents and have a good feed and it can even be for Santa Claus if that's what you want but let's also just have a day of quiet celebration. All children are special but this is a day to remember when our lives were changed for the good. No dollars or cents can make up for it. I am old so my family have mostly died. Nephews, nieces - well I'm just not on their wavelength so they don't want to know me. However I know we are all here for a purpose not as great as our Savior but my task is to get up each day and do my best to be positive influence in such a negative atmosphere.
