How do you feel about Christmas? Love it? Hate it?

Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I don't particularly like Christmas anymore. My three children are grown-up now. I live on my own, but get together with family. Go out for Christmas lunch with my daughter, as younger son goes to his Dad's and elder son is in South Australia, but we did the Skype last year. Before that, he used to ring up on Christmas Day, and we'd talk to him in turn.
We do the present opening session where we take it in turns to unwrap a present. I send a parcel to my son in SA for him and his partner, and send Perth calendars to UK - have for last 44yrs, my time in Oz since March '67.
I find it all just a lot of hard work and feel like it's just going through the motions of what's to do each year. I got a bit like that when my children were little though. Has lost most of it's meaning now. Carols By Candlelight are always nice on TV, or if you can go to one.
