Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I am not looking forward to Christmas this year. My partner died the year before last. He loved Christmas, and the ceremony of putting up the tree was the only time we ever argued, as he didnt know when to stop and I had to put my foot down about him putting on 7 sets of lights! by now, the Christmas lunch would have been planned and the resent shopping well under way - it was always so much fun seeing the joy in his face. Last year I went to see my brother in London and the atmoshere was great, but this year I cant afford to go away and I know that it just wont be the same anymore. However, I am so grateful for so many happy memories of our years together.
