How do you feel about Christmas? Love it? Hate it?

Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I guess I've lost the Christmas joy. Everything is so commercialised and the children seem to want everything that they see. I have Grandchildren who get a lot of presents and still want more. Does anybody out there face the same sort of circumstances? As a pensioner I can only give smaller presents to them, but this year is even worse as the economy has died and my children and their families are struggling to make ends meet. This year I have started to buy extra groceries and I am going to give each of my children and their families a huge basket of groceries to help them out. Does anybody out there do the same thing as me? By the way, Merry Christmas to all the staff at Cafe Chat and to all of my fellow survey members.
