How do you feel about Christmas? Love it? Hate it?

Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

I'm lucky enough to be the youngest of 5 so christmas is quite a production in my family. I always start the day off by getting up & going for a run because I know I will be sampling a lot of home-made food later on. Christmas is almost the only time my whole family gets to see eachother all at once and bond over food and gift giving. The gift giving is the least important part of the day and is more for my nieces and nephews anyway, but their parents brought them up to be gracious and non-greedy so giving them presents is a pleasure. I know I'm lucky to have a big family, especially since I have no interest in starting a family of my own. My parents & (most of) my older siblings go to church but I don't. I feel I am lucky and blessed by whatever is out there looking after me and christmas with my family reminds me of that.
