Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Christmas always has a special place in my heart. The buzz starts up at the end of Melbourne Cub day - when usually the horse I back loses, then the joy of the coming season inches in. My siseter-in-law starts packing her usual ornaments away and slowly but surely the little Christmas stuff start making their appearance. We usually devote one Sunday to decorating the house, setting up the tree while my brother plys us with a drink du jour as well as plays Christmas Carol Cds at full blast - my only regret is that the neighbours are subjected to the music, however this is only for that day. Then on in - the anticipation of the Christmas season builds up until the day itself when we finally collapse after a "concert" put on in former years by the niece and nephews and now latterly the next generation.
