Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

My late husband and I did not have children so apart from the first Christmas without him when I went down south in WA to where my father lives (my brother ran me down as I do not drive a vehicle) I have spent it on my own. Having said that there have been a couple of Christmases where either one of my neighbours or a friend has invited me to their place. I spent a couple on my own and this year am thinking of going into Perth where one of the charities puts on Christmas lunch for the homeless, those on their own and for single parents who can not afford to buy Christmas stuff. Have not fully decided yet will just wait and see. In the meantime to those of you who have families, make the most of them, do not let any family disagreements affect the day, you do not know when you will not have them around.
