Do you wish Christmas would come and go quickly or do you look forward to it with great enthusiasm? Do you believe Christmas has lost its meaning given all the materialistic connotations associated with it or does it still have a special place in your heart?

Being part of a family with step-parents x 2, plus biological parents x 2, plus in-laws as well, I sometimes find Christmas very tiresome and overwhelming. We quite often have functions the weekend before, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, by the time it is all over I'm exhausted and need the rest of the year to get over it!
I do love seeing my kids get more and more excited as the days get closer, when they start opening the advent calendar at the start of December, then once school/kindy is over and they know it's only a couple of weeks away. Nothing compares to their faces on the morning, when they see their santa sacks full of pressies.
As long as the kids are happy then it's a successful Christmas as far as I'm concerned, it is all about them!
