Yes. We've forgotten what our laws etc are based on - the Bible , our makers instruction manual for getting the most and best of of life. People want to dictate their own life path and destiny. Doing things for No. 1 (self) often leaves others out of the picture thus what we see happening.
We need to get back in touch with God and enjoy the full abundant life He offers and then loving/serving/giving to others will be on the adgenda again with all the benefits those things bring. How many people have experienced how much better it is to give than receive? It's in the giving that we really receive.
