Vietnam! I would love to hear from anyone who has done this trip as an independant traveller. Hubby and I like to experience local culture and are prepared to backpack as you meet interesting people and see more

I served with the Australian Army during the war in Vietnam and have a few mate who served with me, who are now living there. They love it and have said they will not be returning to Australia. One mate used to conduct tours and can still arrange great itineraries. If you are interested I can give you his email and let him know you'll be contacting him for advice. From all I've heard it is a great place to visit and the people are wonderful and warm, especially if you let them know you are Aussie. Let me know and I'll give you the relevant details and let Gregg know you'll be contacting him.
