I am looking for some tried slow cooker recipes. I know there is a whole lot you can find on the net via google search and other search engines but i want ones that people have actually tried and can vouch for them. please post a recipe up here or a link to a recipe that you have tried before!

LAMB SHANK AND KUMARA
6 lamb shanks
1 onion chopped
Brown these and put into crockpot with
2 carrots diced
400g tin tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (adds the concentrated flavour)
2 cups red wine
1 1/2 cups beef or vege stock
2 bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste.

cook 8 hrs
Boil 2 cubed kumara and peas and then add to crockpot.
you can add altogether at the begining if you want.
Thicken juices. Serve with salad or whipped potatoes or crusty bread.
TO MAKE THIS INTO A PIE - line a tin with puff pastry take meat off bones, put into pie, top with pastry, brush with egg and milk combined and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake 15 to 20 mins on 200 degrees in preheated oven until pastry is browned.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER EAT. serve with green salad.
